Is your product BPA-free and safe for babies?

Yes — all Hāpai products are made from 100% food-grade silicone that is completely free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, and other harmful chemicals. We exceed the highest safety standards so you can feel confident with every use.

What age is this product suitable for?

Hāpai products are designed for babies 3 months and older. Always supervise your baby during use.

How do I clean Hāpai products?

Easy — wash with warm soapy water, toss on the top rack of your dishwasher, or sterilize by boiling in water for 3–5 minutes. Food-grade silicone holds up to all three.

Can I refrigerate Hāpai products?

Absolutely. Chilling the teether provides extra soothing relief for sore gums. Pop it in the fridge (not the freezer) before use.

What colors are available?

The Hāpai Monstera Leaf Teether comes in five earth-inspired colorways — each one named for a place or plant from the islands:

  • Maile Green — deep forest green, named for the sacred maile lei vine
  • Hala Dust Yellow — warm golden yellow, inspired by the hala fruit
  • Haupia Cream — soft coconut cream white, named for the classic Hawaiian dessert
  • Honolua Blue — calm ocean blue, named after Honolua Bay on Maui
  • Paia Red — rich terracotta red, named for the town of Pā'ia on Maui's north shore

Is the teether one solid piece?

Yes. The Monstera Leaf Teether is molded as a single piece of food-grade silicone — no seams, no joints, no parts that can break off. Nothing to come apart in your baby's mouth.

What makes the shape special?

The monstera leaf shape isn't just for looks. The textured ridges and bumps on one side soothe emerging teeth, the smooth side is gentle on sensitive gums, and the ring handle is sized for small hands to actually grab and hold — not just swat at.
